Job Description

: We are seeking a QS & Estimation/Planning Engineer (Civil + MEP) who will be responsible for estimating & planning of Civil & MEP works in building construction/contracting works. Analyzing project specifications and preparing detailed cost breakdowns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying & planning and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in coordination with local authorities/portal will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects & planning.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to understand project scope and requirements
• Evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor project costs and ensure budgets are adhered
• Prepare and submit project reports and documentation
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contracts
• Conduct site visits to verify and validate project details
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
• Must have good database for suppliers in UAE.
• Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to track project expenses, identify variances, and take corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/ Degree in Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quantity surveying and estimation in the construction industry.
• Proficient in using estimation software and tools
