Ohana Developments is seeking a motivated Junior QS Engineer to join our team in the UAE. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in quantity surveying and construction, looking to grow their career in the industry. The Junior QS Engineer will assist in managing project costs and ensuring that construction projects are completed within budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Conduct cost analysis and estimation for materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations and agreements.
• Monitor project progress and costs, identifying any potential variations or cost overruns.
• Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to project specifications.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project finances and costs.
• Support senior QS engineers in day-to-day tasks and project coordination activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction-related roles preferred.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management practices.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant quantity surveying software.
• UAE driving license and familiarity with local construction regulations preferred.
