We're urgently hiring QHSE Officer

Role Description

Responsibilities

Quality, Health & Safety:

2.1 Ensure compliance with local and international QHSE regulations, including OSHAD requirements.

2.2 Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

2.3 Develop and implement QHSE policies, procedures, and training programs.

2.4 Monitor and report on workplace hazards, accidents, and near-miss incidents.

2.5 Ensure that employees follow safe working practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE).

2.6 Conduct emergency drills and ensure preparedness for fire, spills, and other hazards.

2.7 Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and QHSE performance indicators.

Environmental Compliance:

2.8 Ensure environmental sustainability practices are followed, including waste management and pollution control.

2.9 Promote initiatives to reduce environmental impact within transportation operations.

2.10 Conduct environmental risk assessments and compliance checks.

Regulatory & Compliance:

2.11 Ensure compliance with OSHAD, ISO 45001 (OHSMS), and ISO 14001 (EMS) standards.

2.12 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to QHSE.

2.13 Prepare reports and documentation required for audits and regulatory submissions.

2.14 Liaise with government authorities and external auditors as needed.

Training & Awareness:

2.15 Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees.

2.16 Train employees on QHSE procedures and ensure competency in emergency response.

Promote a proactive safety culture within the organization.

Qualification & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Must have OSHAD Grade B or C certification.

Must have UAE driving license.

Lead Auditor in ISO 45001, 14001 and 45001 standards.

Knowledge of UAE labor laws.

Experience:

Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably in a transportation or logistics company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
