: Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Officer

Role Overview:

As a QHSE Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to uphold these standards across all operational areas. Reporting to the management team, you will actively promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness while continuously improving processes to minimize risks and enhance performance.

• Key Responsibilities

1. Advise the Facilities Managers and Facility Engineers on all health and Safety issues relating to iFM operations.

2. Implement and maintain the iFM integrated management system and ensure compliance with quality health, safety, and environmental standards.

3. Conduct regular safety inspections of the iFM-managed facilities to identify and correct potential hazards. This includes examining the building, facilities, equipment, machinery, tools, and work areas.

4. Evaluate workplace processes and activities to identify potential risks and hazards. Develop strategies and recommendations to mitigate these risks.

5. Assist the Facilities Manager in implementing safe work systems, developing risk assessments/method statements, reviewing subcontractor QHSE requirements, and evaluating subcontractor and supplier QHSE performance.

6. Provide safety training to employees, contractors, and visitors. This may include training on emergency procedures, safe work practices, regulatory requirements, and the proper use of safety equipment.

7. Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine the root causes and develop strategies for preventing similar incidents in the future.

8. Ensure compliance with local and federal safety regulations and standards. Stay up to date on changes in safety laws and regulations.

9. Maintain records of safety incidents, inspections, and training. Prepare safety reports for management and regulatory authorities as required. Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.

10. Support the iFM mobilization team in implementing all approved Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QSHE) management systems on new contracts within agreed deadlines.

11. Environmental safety and compliance, conducting environmental aspect and impact assessment.

12. Communicate effectively with employees, management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Respond to inquiries and concerns related to QHSE matters.

13. Collaborate with other departments and management to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

14. Develop and implement emergency response plans. Coordinate and participate in emergency drills and exercises.

15. Oversee the selection, maintenance, and proper use of safety equipment, such as personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably with a technical background.

- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification in health and safety management.

- ISO Lead Auditor certification.

- Minimum of five years of experience as a QHSE Officer in the UAE, with at least two years in the facilities management (FM) sector.

- OSHAD qualification would be advantageous.
