We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled QHSE Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience within the UAE and hold a recognized Health and Safety Qualifications NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
A QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards within an organization. The specific roles and responsibilities of a QHSE Manager typically include:
• Developing and Implementing QHSE Policies : Creating and implementing policies and procedures that promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental sustainability throughout the organization.
• Compliance Monitoring : Monitoring compliance with all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and legislation applicable to the organization's operations.
• Risk Assessment and Management : Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace. Developing strategies to mitigate risks and prevent accidents, injuries, or environmental incidents.
• Training and Development : Designing and delivering training programs to educate employees on QHSE policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensuring that employees at all levels understand their responsibilities related to QHSE.
• Incident Investigation : Leading investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses, or environmental spills. Analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Audit and Inspection : Planning and conducting QHSE audits and inspections to assess compliance with policies, identify areas for improvement, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting : Monitoring QHSE performance metrics and preparing reports for management review. Presenting findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
• Emergency Preparedness and Response : Developing and maintaining emergency response plans for various scenarios (e.g., fire, chemical spill). Conducting drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
• Supplier and Contractor Management : Evaluating QHSE performance of suppliers and contractors. Ensuring that external partners comply with QHSE requirements and standards.
• Continuous Improvement : Leading continuous improvement initiatives related to QHSE processes and practices. Implementing changes based on lessons learned, industry best practices, and regulatory updates.
• Communication and Engagement : Facilitating communication and collaboration between different departments and stakeholders regarding QHSE matters. Promoting a proactive approach to QHSE across the organization.
• Sustainability Initiatives : Supporting sustainability goals by integrating environmental considerations into business practices and promoting resource efficiency and waste reduction.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with advance knowledge in QHSE within UAE.
• Ability to empathize with all customers understanding their special needs, and able to work effectively and positively in an environment that requires a high level of morale and good working atmosphere.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Demonstrate Knowledge of HSEQ issues
• Experience in a People environment.
