Job Title: QC - Welding Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications- Piping, Structural, Vessels.
• Co-ordinate non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds for methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and radiographic testing
• Evaluate NDT reports against code s and project specifications.
• Review welding procedures and specifications to ensure compliance with codes and project specifications.
• Provide guidance and support to welding personnel to ensure that welding activities are performed in accordance with industry standards and specifications
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all welding activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that welding activities are integrated into the overall project plan
• Verification of materials and Mill Test certificates as per project requirements and codes.
• Preparation of Inspection test plans , Test packs etc.

Requirements:

• BE/Diploma preferably in Mechanical .
• Certification as a Welding Inspector - AWS-CWI or CSWIP 3\.1
• Knowledge of codes like ASME B31\.3\. AWS D1\.1, ASME VIII Div. 1 etc.
• Should be able to interpret structural drgs, piping isometrics, PID and vessel drgs.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in welding inspection
• Knowledge of welding processes and techniques
• Fully conversant with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and radiographic testing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret welding procedures and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects in welds
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) .
