Job Description

Able to read drawings and specifications.

Perform dimensional inspection of machined products

Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice

Essential to be able to speak good English including reading and writing

Can understand both metric and inches micrometers and other measuring Equipment

Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications

Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable material.

Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.

Responsible for reporting all NCRs to QA Manager and GM

For using process and test equipment in a known state of calibration

For ensuring the availability of required documentation at the point of use

For ensuring work undertaken can achieve stipulated requirements within the

For ensuring that the unique identity and status of products is always maintained.

Ensuring all instruments are calibrated as per schedule.

signing off the Certificate of Conformity and Inspection Reports

For ensuring risk analysis to both employees and product is carried out where required.

Sign off the quality documents and product release documents

Report any works carried out by sub contractor found to not in accordance with approved drawing and specifications

Monitor quality of works

Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.

Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise
