1. Position Objectives

Ensure Project Quality Plan is implemented and monitored on project sites and is consistent with client requirements and to national and international standards.

2. Key Roles & Responsibilities

Study project specifications in detail for the complete and required scope, materials, work execution, tests, etc. Review all approved documents such as method statements, Project Quality Plan, drawings, prior to the commencement of works on site Monitor site activities according to Project Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plan, Project Specifications and Method Statements Oversee communication with third-party independent testing companies Attend concrete trial mixes at RMC Batching plant upon design mix approval and witness all tests that are carried out on fresh concrete Advise RMC supplier/approved third party testing Laboratory for the sampling of test specimens as per project requirements Submit preliminary trial mix report to consultant in coordination with Document Controller Witness 7 days and 28 days testing with consultant for the trial mix conducted Ensure submission of all compressive strength and durability test results for the trial mix conducted Report all Quality issues to the QA/QC Manager Submit daily site reports for all daily works executed, on the next day before 09:00am; daily report shall include all tasks carried out, materials received on the site etc. Highlight obstructions encountered on the project, such as utilities, failure of dewatering system etc. as well as equipment/manpower idle hours (if any) working on the site Ensure construction materials such as reinforcement steel, spacers, tie wire, cement etc. are well protected Carry out inspections for each activity and record in the inspection checklist Issue work inspections one day in advance and obtain approval within 5 days of completion of the activity; forward copy of Work Inspections to respective Document Controller Submit installation records for any activity within 24hrs and maintain signed records Ensure that all approved documents, records are available in both hard and soft copies Follow a well-maintained filing system on the sites Issue site observation report for any minor nonconformances by execution team/subcontractor/supplier Issue internal nonconformance report for major nonconformance; ensure close out within agreed time frame; send report to Quality Department for record Close out external NCRs received from client without delay Ensure that well organized concrete check points are available on site Ensure sampling of materials (concrete/reinforcement) is carried out in accordance with project specifications or as agreed with Engineer Follow up on test results in coordination with HO and submit on time Ensure that all equipment's /tools are calibrated, and valid calibration certificates are available on site Prepare and submit Monthly Quality Reports to QA/QC Manager on 3rd day of every month Monitor concrete and Reinforcement consumption on daily basis and report to QA/QC Manager Ensure project handing over documents/records are submitted in accordance with project specifications Ensure all Quality documents/records are handed over to HO after project completion Ensure that fresh concrete specimens are covered with polythene sheet to prevent evaporation of water content in the concrete samples Demould samples after 24hrs. of casting and arrange transportation of samples to laboratory for curing Any other duties assigned by QA/QC Manager

3. Experience / Education / Training

Bachelor's Degree in Quality or Engineering or equivalent 5+ years' work experience in Quality Management Previous experience in Ground Engineering preferred Driver's License
