:
• Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) for construction projects, including quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Establish and enforce quality requirements, standards, and specifications for materials, workmanship, and construction methods.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and tests to verify compliance with project plans, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with project teams to identify and resolve quality issues, deviations, and non-conformities in a timely manner.
• Review construction documents, contracts, and submittals to ensure alignment with quality requirements and regulatory standards.
• Provide training and guidance to project staff, contractors, and subcontractors on quality management processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of construction activities and personnel to identify opportunities for improvement and corrective actions.
• Manage and maintain quality-related documentation, records, and reports, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance certificates.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, third-party inspectors, and client representatives to facilitate inspections, approvals, and certifications.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and project reviews to address quality-related issues and concerns.
• Implement quality control measures to prevent defects, rework, and delays, and ensure the delivery of high-quality construction projects on schedule and within budget.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization and among project teams.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field; professional certification in quality management (e.g., CQM, CMQ/OE) is preferred.
• Proven experience (typically 5-10+ years) in quality assurance and quality control roles within the construction industry, with a focus on hospitality buildings, building construction, or heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, standards, and regulations related to quality assurance and quality control.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and tools, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Construction, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience in conducting inspections, tests, and audits, and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and project teams.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency in computer applications and software for document management, data analysis, and reporting.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with ethical standards and industry best practices.
