The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulations. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for the bridge construction project.
Conduct inspections and audits to monitor compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
Work closely with the project management team to ensure that quality procedures are integrated throughout the construction process.
Oversee the testing of materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure conformity with project requirements.
Prepare and maintain records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs), and provide regular updates to the senior management team.
Address any quality-related issues, deviations, or deficiencies and ensure prompt corrective action is taken.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that all materials meet the required quality standards.
Assist in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and material submittals for compliance with quality standards.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all QA/QC activities.
Provide guidance and training to the project team and subcontractors on quality management processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
At least 1 bridge project experience is required, with a solid understanding of bridge construction standards and techniques.
Familiarity with quality assurance and control procedures, inspection processes, and construction codes.
Strong knowledge of materials, testing methods, and quality standards in the construction industry.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve quality issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as specifications, drawings, and contracts.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office and QA/QC management software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.
