Job Description

GENERAL

1. Review and provide inputs to tender submissions, in terms of technical and special requirements and highlight any concerns

2. Assist in the preparation and development of pre-qualification documents and procedures for tendering new jobs

3. Review of Scope of Work, Specifications and related Codes and Standards of awarded projects.

4. Preparation & review of PQP, inspection procedures,MAR, ITP,Material submittals, technical data, and samples for approval.

5. Assist surveyor in calculating the site coordinates and reviewing, approving the coordinates calculated with design drawing and reference BM, and Station Points.

6. Conduct inspection on civil/building as per standards & specifications for control building, substation buildings, tank foundations, pipe rack foundations, gas pipeline, foundations vessel foundations, Concrete paving, Asphalt paving works & Interlock paving works.

7. Check and verify material deliveries in conformity with the project specification.

8. Carrying out preliminary inspection of materials of construction and reviewing the material mill test certificate, generating MRIR, getting the material inspected and released for construction.

9. Coordinate with third party/client for inspection on concrete, grout, and field density test activities

10. Ensure the civil/ building system completion prior to handing over documents to client.

11. Witnessing Concrete testing point on site and laboratory testing.

12. Earthwork's inspections such as field density test, sand bedding & final fill

13. To conduct all required tests in accordance with contract documents and to prepare, fill in and sign all reports and forms as necessary for compliance with contract Quality standards.

14. Prepare details of field inspection requirements or activities in accordance with the applicable specifications, codes, and standards of the contract.

15. Visit the construction site daily to check whether all works, materials, equipment are in accordance with QA/QC program, project drawing and specification.

16. Preparation and reporting of Quality statistics of project activity including defect rates.

17. Ensure all inspection activities are effectively carried out as per the approved ITP and reports are documented and maintained without undue delay.

18. Sub contractor management-Review/approve procedure and monitoring

19. Ensure effective use of software applicable to QC function.

20. Raise and assist in resolving NCR's when identified.

21. Ensure timely Preparation and submission of project dossier.

22. Ensure compliance with HSES Policies, plans & procedures as applicable.

23. Attending safety toolbox talks and Safety walks and suggest improvement.

24. Follow-up and evaluation of the pre-project activities, project activities and the store (Shuttering, staging, Formwork installation, pre-pour preparations and casting)

25. Actively participate in weekly review meeting and highlighting welding related issues and follow up.

26. Prepare the final dossier for the project

KNOWLEDGE IN QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

1. Responsible for the monitoring and implementation of the Quality Management System for the assigned Project.

2. Conducting internal audit as per audit schedule & ensuring the compliance to QMS and project Quality requirements

3. Preparing audit check sheet for each dept inline with QMS manual to cover all ISO 9001 & project requirement.

4. Monitor & report to Project team on effectiveness of the QMS & provide recommendations for management review.

5. Preparing presentation & addressing Project QA/QC lessons learnt to all project team for effective implementation.

6. Monitor the performance of project Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and take action to control within threshold.

7. Identifying, evaluating, record and resolving Quality issues during each phase of the fabrication & Site work.

8. Preparing & Issuing Audit Notification, Audit Plan, Audit Reports, follow up the closure of CA & PA for NCR.

9. Witnessing and observing Quality Audits conducted by the supplier and vendors and ensuring QMS compliance.

10. Reviewing and approving all VDRL vendor quality documents inline with project spec and submitting them to client.

11. Review/ implementation of the Project Quality Plan & KPI and quality objectives for each project.

12. Ensure the quality system of vendors and sub-vendors by frequent audits & shop floor visit.

13. Review and approve the monthly quality report issued by sub-contractors and sub vendors and submit to client.

14. Check the Quality aspects of critical procurement requisitions and relevant purchase orders affecting project quality.

15. Develop PQP based on the Project scope and execution strategy and all other relevant Project specific procedures.

16. Implement a Quality Assurance program to monitor adherence and identify improvement to the QMS of project.

17. Monitors, Measures quality performance and provides, distributes surveillance as per QMS.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

1. Good technical knowledge and execution experience in excavation Support systems, foundation,

2. Knowledge in codes and standards of BSEN,ACI and customer specifications

3. Ability to read and interpret layout, elevation and detail construction drawings

4. Familiarity with testing equipment and tools used in Civil inspections

5. Good Interpersonal skills and negotiation skills

6. Excellent knowledge in MS office and ERP systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

1. Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.

2. Minimum 8 years in the field of QAQC activities in Oil & Gas construction for onshore, offshore,

3. Excellent knowledge in all testing and inspection requirement in civil engineering activities

4. Knowledge in auditing requirements

5. Excellent communication skills

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
