Position overview:
QAD Operations Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining QAD (ERP) systems to optimize business processes and support operational efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of business operations, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive system enhancements and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Analysis and Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements for QAD system enhancements requests, and analyze current business processes to identify gaps and opportunities for optimization through QAD system integration. Function Specification and Pre-analysis: Translate business requirements into detailed system design specifications, considering user experience and process flow. Testing and Validation: Develop and support execution of test plans to ensure system functionality meets defined requirements; troubleshoot and resolve any issues. Training and Documentation: Create user guides and provide training to Key Users on system functionality and best practices. Change Management: Support change management efforts by effectively communicating system changes and their impact to stakeholders. Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and external vendors to ensure smooth system implementation and integration. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for ongoing system improvement, propose solutions, and lead initiatives to enhance QAD functionality. Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate issues and project statuses, updates, and potential risks to managers and stakeholders.
Key skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field. Proven experience (5+ years) as an ERP Business Analyst, or Advanced Key User preferably in Automotive manufacturing environments - 1Tier OEM Supplier. Proven knowledge of the QAD system. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in process mapping, requirement gathering, and system design. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools. Ability to manage multiple issues and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Knowledge of programming PROGRESS language is a plus. Proficiency in both English & French languages, spoken and written
