QA Engineer

Job description

The main task is to support quality and test the functionality of a cross-platform web application (PWA) and internal use web platform (ERP system) using the following technology stack:

• Postman, Insomnia
• Swagger OpenAPI 3
• Jest, Playwright
• Jira, Git

At the moment, the PWA application is packaged into native applications for Android and IOS using PWABuilder and published on Google Play and the App Store. Internal use web platform packaged into Windows / MacOS desktop application and distributed inside the company.

In the application, we work with a database, user authentication, verification services (Twilio SMS and Sendgrid (for sending emails), and FCM push notification service (Firebase Cloud Messages). In the internal use web platform, we work with a database, user authentication, and file transfer.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of how to work with Jira, GIT
• Knowledge of Postman/Insomnia
• Experience with REST API, Swagger, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON
• Experience with Jest/Playwright
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Understanding of client-server application architecture
• Experience in writing test documentation
• Error localization and bug reporting skills
• Experience in writing test procedures, checklists, test cases

Tasks:

• Organize and support testing processes in the company (the main focus is on manual testing)
• Analyzing incoming requirements, create and maintain test cases up to date
• Simulate user errors, investigate the causes of failures
• Regression testing, test design, creation of test documentation
• Writing basic Jest, Playwright Auto Tests for cross-platform web application and internal ERP System Website
• Technical support (up to 30% of the time)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED7,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)

• Software Testing: 1 year (Preferred)
