Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in Selenium/Cypress, Appium, API automation. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience in software testing and be adept at designing, developing, and executing automation tests to ensure the highest quality of our applications. This role requires a deep understanding of the entire testing lifecycle and the ability to work collaboratively within an agile development team. Exposure to security and performance testing will be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Selenium/Cypress and Appium for web and mobile applications.
• Lead API testing efforts, including the creation of automated tests for RESTful services.
• Conduct comprehensive Performance testing to ensure application responsiveness and scalability.
• Implement Security testing strategies to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with the development team to integrate automation tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Analyze test results, report on testing activities, and work with the team to resolve issues.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to improve test processes.
• Proficient in designing test cases, executing various testing types (exploratory, smoke, regression), and managing defects, with strong analytical skills, familiarity with SDLC methodologies, and effective communication within teams.
• Utilize defect tracking tools (Jira) to log, manage, and resolve defects. Collaborate with development teams to prioritize defect fixes and ensure software quality.

Qualifications:

• 3 to 4 years of experience in test automation and software testing.
• Proficient in Selenium WebDriver/Cypress and Appium for automating web and mobile applications.
• Strong experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest-Assured).
• Knowledge of Performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and Security testing practices.
• Excellent manual testing skills, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Familiarity with Java programming language and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

• Certifications in Selenium, Appium, or other relevant testing frameworks.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their testing services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
