We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to manage and maintain our company website on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and jQuery, with extensive experience in API integrations, particularly with XML feeds. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of creating and adding new content to the website, enhancing its functionality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the company website built with Python and jQuery.

Integrate and manage APIs, specifically the Property Finder API, to fetch real estate listings, agent profiles, and other relevant data.

Ensure data from the API is parsed, handled, and updated efficiently, with a scheduled refresh.

Optimize and manage the website's database to ensure smooth performance.

Work with web development frameworks such as Django or Flask to enhance and maintain website functionality.

Write scripts for automation tasks and data handling.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal website performance.

Use version control systems like Git for collaborative development and code maintenance.

Create and add new content to the website, ensuring it aligns with the overall design and functionality.

Collaborate with the content team to integrate new content seamlessly into the website.

Enhance user experience by implementing new features and improving existing ones.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Python and jQuery.

Proven experience with API integrations and managing XML feeds.

Strong understanding of database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Experience with web development frameworks like Django or Flask.

Ability to write efficient scripts for automation and data handling.

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Experience with content management systems (CMS) and adding new content to websites.

Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working with the Property Finder API or similar real estate data APIs.

Knowledge of web development best practices and security standards.

Compensation:

This is a part-time freelance position position:

Compensation is task-based, with no basic salary. Payment will be made upon successful completion of tasks.

Flexibility in working hours, but timely completion of tasks is essential.
