We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Purchasing & Store Manager to oversee our procurement and inventory management operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless supply chain management, cost efficiency, and proper stock control to meet the needs of our busy kitchen.

About the Role:
The Purchasing & Store Manager will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing process, from sourcing to inventory control. This role requires ensuring timely and accurate deliveries from suppliers, managing stock levels, maintaining storage facilities, and ensuring items meet company standards. The manager will also ensure proper usage and accountability of all store supplies, as well as produce reports for departmental review.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the purchasing process, including order placement, supplier negotiation, and delivery tracking.
• Perform regular inventory audits and ensure that stock is adequately replenished to meet kitchen needs.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries and high-quality products.
• Maintain proper storage practices in line with HACCP standards to ensure food safety and hygiene.
• Develop cost-cutting measures and create strategies for improving purchasing efficiency.
• Generate and present weekly analysis and reports on inventory usage, costs, and recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure stock is utilized efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensure all items issued from the store are properly accounted for and documented.
• Supervise warehouse and receiving staff, and ensure effective coordination in stock handling.
• Maintain accurate purchase order records and supplier relationships with confidentiality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare weekly reports on purchases and stock utilization.
• Ensure proper accountability for all stock and supplies issued.
• Track stock movement and ensure timely requisition of supplies.
• Ensure storage facilities are well-maintained and up to hygiene standards.
• Manage stock levels and ensure timely ordering to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Coordinate with team to manage replenishment orders for restaurant FOH needs, kitchen equipment, and cleaning supplies.
• Oversee storage and maintenance of both food and operational supplies.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP standards and company procedures in stock handling.
• Develop and implement inventory management programs and best practices for purchasing and storage.
• Manage progress reporting for purchasing, inventory, and supply chain management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lead a team and manage warehouse operations efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
