Job Title: Purchasing Executive
Reporting to: Executive Director
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Summary:
The Purchasing Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services essential for the company's operations. This role involves working closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost-efficiency. The Purchasing Executive will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels and managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
Source and identify potential suppliers based on project requirements and company standards.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible agreements.
Place and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements.
Address and resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers.
Inventory Control:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper inventory handling and storage.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Cost Management:
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Analyze market trends to anticipate pricing fluctuations and ensure competitive pricing.
Prepare and present cost analysis and budget reports.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Prepare and submit procurement reports as required by management.
Other:
Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, production, and logistics to understand their needs and requirements.
Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies in alignment with company goals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within a relevant industry.
Language: Must be an Arabic Speaker and has good English communication skills
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are a plus.
