Job Description
sWe are looking for a Purchasing Executive with a background in mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise and purchasing acumen to maintain a seamless supply chain, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the maritime industry.Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and procure ship spare parts and materials from reliable suppliers.
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and delivery performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to identify potential opportunities and risks in the supply chain.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Resolve any issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and invoice discrepancies.
- Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in ship spare parts and materials.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the maritime or ship spare parts industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical components and ship spare parts.
- Excellent communication skills in Hindi
- Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
