About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our growing team in the UAE. As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the procurement of goods and services for the company. You will play a vital role in maintaining cost efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Procurement: Identify and source suppliers for products and services required by the company. Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure optimal purchasing conditions.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and order goods as needed to ensure stock availability without overstocking.
• Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and explore new vendor partnerships to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in terms of product specifications, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Cost Control: Monitor and evaluate the cost-effectiveness of purchases and seek opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, price, delivery, and service. Ensure that suppliers comply with company requirements and standards.
• Inventory Tracking & Reporting: Keep track of orders, deliveries, and stock levels. Generate and maintain reports on procurement activities for senior management review.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all purchases comply with company policies, industry regulations, and local laws. Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records and documentation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, warehouse, operations) to ensure smooth procurement processes and avoid any operational delays.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing, retail, or logistics environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with a focus on cost management.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement software and inventory management systems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• A good understanding of market trends, vendor sourcing, and procurement strategies.
• Familiarity with UAE laws and regulations related to procurement and business operations.
• A degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
