As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies required for the production of high-quality marble products and the successful execution of fitout projects. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships while maintaining a focus on quality, cost, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: ? Develop and implement a procurement strategy to support the factory\'s marble production and fitout project requirements. ? Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other relevant departments to identify procurement needs and timelines. ? Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers for marble, tools, and fitout materials. ? Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and competitive pricing. ? Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers, seeking opportunities for long-term partnerships. ? Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions. ? Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or project timelines. ? Conduct cost analysis and budget forecasting to control expenditures. ? Ensure that all procured materials meet quality standards and specifications. ? Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address any quality issues and maintain high-quality standards. ? Oversee inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and optimize inventory turnover. ? Coordinate with inventory control teams to ensure adequate stock levels for ongoing projects. ? Create and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and other procurement-related documents. ? Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement. ? Generate and present regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and vendor performance to senior management. ? Explore sustainable sourcing options and practices, aligning procurement decisions with environmental and social responsibility. Requirements: ? Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. ? Proven experience in procurement and vendor management, preferably in the construction or marble industry. ?
