: Purchase Officer for Construction Company A construction Purchaser is responsible for purchasing products, materials and services. These include office supplies, retail products, or manufacturing equipment. Job duties include assessing the market, evaluating pricing and availability, ordering new products, and keeping accurate records. Responsibilities: \xef\x82\xb7 Prepare the Request for Quotation as per site requirement \xef\x82\xb7 Forwarding the Material Enquiry to the vendors along with the technical details and follow up for quotations \xef\x82\xb7 Prepare technical and commercial comparative statement. \xef\x82\xb7 Negotiating for material procurement at lowest cost within budget without compromising on quality. \xef\x82\xb7 Follow up for Vendor Prequalification, Technical Material Submittals and sample \xef\x82\xb7 Overview the Prequalification and Material Submittals, before forwarding to Client/ Consultant. \xef\x82\xb7 Review the Purchase Order entering in ERP system and forward to the successful vendor. \xef\x82\xb7 Close co-ordination between Construction Team and Store Department for smooth flow of work. \xef\x82\xb7 Coordinating with vendors for the pre-alert documents and other requirements. \xef\x82\xb7 Maintaining the Payment details for all the vendors with credit periods. \xef\x82\xb7 Respond to site and supplier inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations Monitoring & evaluating the supplier performance and recommending for improvement accordingly. \xef\x82\xb7 Preparing monthly reports for hire equipments and major materials. \xef\x82\xb7 Assisting Tender Department to get the best available price for product, services & valid quotation from supplier and subcontractor for tender quote submission. Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in related fields.
6 years of experience in purchasing, must be in construction industry
Work experience with a reputable construction company would be an added advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
