MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepares local purchase order for the approved material requisitions.
• Sending purchase order to local supplier after approval from authorized signatory.
• Follow-up deliveries of purchase order from local suppliers.
• Informs requester about the delivery status of requested materials.
• Coordinate with requester for the material document of requested materials and submits this to the Accounts department.
• Maintain and update records of local purchases.
• Arrange air ticket booking for staff either on vacationing or cancellation.
• Report to Purchase Manager for any related issues of the department.
• Performs documentation on related purchase itineraries for reference.
TIMELY JOB FUNCTIONS & ERRANDS
• Be able to adjust and comprehend with additional tasks given by superiors other than the required work responsibilities.
• Takes full responsibility on company guidelines relative to proper wearing of uniform, ID cards, shoes, proper grooming (long hair not allowed) and all other related internal policies of the company.
• Ensures that proper notification shall be given to immediate supervisors before the absent date.
• Ensures to cooperate in the event that overtime duty is required. Shall work on Fridays / Holidays if required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Graduate of Commerce or its equivalent.
• Purchasing Management Training
• With at least 2 years relevant experience in purchasing fields.
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Technical, Analytical and Critical Thinking - Significant exposure to various quality standardization procedures. And with full awareness in the current market trends with respect to material costs and qualitative issues of materials.
• Interpersonal Skills - Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and external entities each of which require cooperative efforts on both sides .
• Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. Communicates clearly among the employees, supervisors, other departments as well as outsource entities each of which requires collaboration on both sides especially during price negotiations.
• Company Rules - Full awareness of the internal policies, procedures, and strategies to effectively and efficiently promote the enhancement of day-to-day achievements.
• Clerical and Computer Literacy - Knowledge of up to date computer principles in MS Word, Excel PowerPoint and the like. Awareness of some clerical responsibilities which includes filing and documentations.
