Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Swimming Pool Pump Winding/Repair and Control Panel Technician to join our team. This role involves the repair, maintenance, and winding of swimming pool pumps, as well as the installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of control panels associated with these systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and be familiar with pool pump operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pump Repair and Maintenance:
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in swimming pool pumps.
• Perform winding and rewinding of pump motors as needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventive checks on pool pump systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Replace faulty components and conduct performance tests post-repair.
• Control Panel Installation and Service:
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot control panels for swimming pool systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to understand control panel setups.
• Calibrate control systems and ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Provide technical support and training to clients or team members on control panel operations.
• Customer Interaction:
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their issues and provide solutions.
• Offer expert advice on system improvements and upgrades.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service and timely resolution of issues.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of service performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Prepare detailed service reports and submit them as required.
• Keep track of inventory for parts and tools, ordering supplies as necessary.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing repairs and installations.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems preferred.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in repairing and maintaining swimming pool pumps and control panels.
• Previous experience in a similar role or industry is advantageous.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and pump operations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Certifications:
• Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical systems are a plus.
