You will provide expert pulmonary care to patients, focusing on the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, and sleep-related breathing disorders. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes, enhancing respiratory health, and advancing the field of pulmonology within our institution.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with respiratory complaints, including cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pain, and abnormal chest imaging findings.
Perform detailed clinical assessments, including medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests, imaging studies, and sleep studies.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient\'s specific pulmonary condition, incorporating medical therapy, lifestyle modifications, and procedural interventions as appropriate.
Perform a wide range of pulmonary procedures, including bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, pleural biopsy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and advanced bronchoscopic interventions.
Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques, such as bronchial thermoplasty, navigational bronchoscopy, and transthoracic needle aspiration, to diagnose and stage pulmonary diseases accurately.
Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding respiratory diseases, treatment options, smoking cessation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and home oxygen therapy.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, thoracic surgeons, radiologists, and critical care specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex pulmonary conditions, such as lung cancer and acute respiratory failure.
Participate in on-call coverage schedules to provide timely evaluation and management of acute respiratory emergencies, such as exacerbations of COPD, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and pulmonary embolism.
Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities to advance the understanding and treatment of respiratory diseases, contributing to the academic mission of the institution and dissemination of knowledge in the field of pulmonology.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, procedural details, and outcomes in electronic medical records, in compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
Requirements-Experience From US (Board), Canada (Royal College Fellowship) UK (CCT), Ireland (CSD, CSCST), Australia &NZ (Fellowship), France (DES, DESC), And Other European Countries According to The Qualification Equivalence Tables of the UAE- MOH -Minimum 5 years experience in a hospital environment - Western and Asian countries experience is preferred.
