Job Summary: The Public Area Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation of public areas within the property. This role supervises a team of housekeeping staff and ensures that all guests and visitors experience a welcoming and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervision:Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of housekeeping attendants responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training as needed.
Cleaning and Maintenance:Ensure that all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and common spaces, are cleaned and maintained to high standards.
Oversee the cleaning of floors, furniture, fixtures, and decorative elements.
Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.
Inventory Management:Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are adequately stocked.
Monitor and control the usage of cleaning products to minimize waste and control costs.
Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure they meet established cleanliness and presentation standards.
Address any deficiencies or areas needing improvement promptly.
Guest Relations:Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any concerns or requests.
Ensure that guests\' needs and expectations regarding public areas are met or exceeded.
Safety and Compliance:Ensure that safety and hygiene standards are maintained in all public areas.
Train staff on safety protocols and ensure they adhere to them.
Follow all local regulations and guidelines related to public area maintenance.
Reporting:Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the cleanliness and maintenance of public areas.
Maintain records of inventory, staff performance, and guest feedback.
Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or housekeeping is a plus.
• Previous experience in a housekeeping or public area cleaning role, with at least 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with local regulations and cultural norms in Dubai is advantageous.
