You will directly report to the PAPA Director.If you are ready to make a difference in patients\' lives and contribute to our mission of defeating serious chronic diseases, read on and apply today for a life-changing career.The positionThe Senior Public Affairs Manager will hold key responsibilities for establishing, implementing, managing and driving affiliate-wide Public Affairs strategies and tactics. Responsible for aligning the Public Affairs (PA) strategy with local business priorities. Responsible for monitoring, shaping and responding to local external policies and regulations to support relevant business interests, while enhancing the reputation of the company with relevant stakeholders.Other responsibilities will include:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with government representatives, regulatory agencies, public officials, payers and other key stakeholders
Develop and implement partnership projects, public relations programs, activities, campaigns, events, and promotional materials; Liaise with functional or operational area managers to align public relations activities with business needs
Monitor policy and political landscape in the country with respect to general healthcare trends, and other relevant issues impacting the company
Lead the local policy shaping and advocacy awareness events including but not limited to leadership forums and policy roundtables
Lead the corporate social responsibility and sustainability agenda in the affiliate
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Bachelor\'s Degree in life science, or management/social sciences/economics/journalism/media. Post-graduate studies in Public Health, Health Policy, or Business Administration is a plus
6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in the governmental healthcare sector (e.g., ministries or regulators)
Professional experience in public relations and communication
In-depth knowledge of the UAE healthcare ecosystem and key healthcare decision makers, with experience in establishing win-win partnerships between public and private sector
Experience in delivering business objectives in alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Experience in analysing complex issues, utilising strategic thinking and implementing tactical plans
