Psychologist Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services to students, faculty, and staff within the college community.2. Key Roles & Responsibilities
Conducting physiological assessments: Performing various tests and evaluations to assess students\' physiological functions, such as cardiovascular, respiratory, muscular, and neurological systems.
Providing student education: Offering guidance and education to students about their physiological conditions, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures to optimize their well-being.
Collaborating with educational professionals: Working closely with faculty, counselors, and other educational professionals to coordinate student support and ensure comprehensive approaches to student health.
Conducting research: Participating in research projects and studies aimed at advancing knowledge in the field of physiology, contributing to the development of new educational strategies and technologies.
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify and address the mental health needs of students.
Provide individual counseling and therapy sessions to support individuals in managing personal, academic, and professional challenges.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on assessment findings and individual needs.
Offer crisis intervention and support services for individuals experiencing acute psychological distress or emotional crises.
Collaborate with other mental health professionals, medical staff, and academic advisors to ensure holistic support for individuals.
Facilitate psychoeducational workshops, support groups, and outreach programs to promote mental health awareness and wellness within the college community.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of best practices, research findings, and emerging trends in the field of psychology.
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall mental health and well-being of the college community.
Collaborate with community resources and referral networks to provide comprehensive support services to individuals with specialized needs.
Ensure adherence to the University\'s information security policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.
Ensure coordination with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.
Perform any other tasks assigned by Line Manager.
QUALIFICATIONSQualifications
Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Physiological Counseling or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychological assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, and providing evidence-based psychotherapy interventions.
