Job Summary:

Consultants Medical Center in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team of healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health disorders, to patients across various age groups. The role involves working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to diagnose psychiatric conditions and mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and more.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions such as psychotherapy, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care.
• Provide psychiatric consultation services to other departments within the medical center.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in case discussions, staff meetings, and continuing education to stay updated on the latest advancements in psychiatry and mental health.
• Engage in community outreach and educational activities to promote mental health awareness.
• Offer support to patients' families and caregivers, guiding them on managing mental health conditions and offering resources.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Psychiatry.
• Valid DOH license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing psychiatry, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting in UAE.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and pharmacological interventions.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
