Responsible for documentation of hair, prosthetic and makeup looks for each of the characters appearing in all parks or representing the park for public relations and at special events
Wash and restyle wigs to IP standards
Teach performers how to apply their makeup and prosthetics properly and efficiently
Make daily checks to confirm performers are applying makeup to company standards
Help Costuming Support Manager in maintaining accurate and up to date wig, makeup and supplies inventory
Keep makeup and wig supplies stocked and request orders in timely manner
Participates in off-site or on-site public relations events involving costumes and performers
When needed, helps crew with daily laundry, including washing, hanging, ironing and steaming costume pieces
When needed, help with fabricating and repairing costumes and craft pieces, as well as altering existing costumes with high attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship to ensure show quality
Organizes weekly dry cleaning pick up and drop off and records items that have been taken and returned by the dry cleaner as needed
Manage daily operations of costuming, including, but not limited to: checking in staff, handing out daily assignments, answer radio calls from green rooms, etc.
Assists in a team leader capacity with other departments within entertainment when required
Interface with all colleagues and outside vendors in a professional and courteous manner
Attends costume department meetings as requested
Assists with administrative tasks to support the Senior Costuming Manager
Share information and best practices from your expertise with other costume colleagues
Maintain communication throughout the costuming department by being meticulous with documentation. Develops necessary documentation and visual references for make-up and hair styles to ensure performers are consistent in the way they apply their makeup and style their hair
Contributes in the creation of a fun and safe working environment. Performs other tasks as reasonably requested by senior management
Essential:
Higher secondary or equivalent
Certification in Hair and Makeup
Minimum of 2 years of makeup application, wig styling and prosthetics work
Knowledge of prosthetics application and development
Makeup design
Wig design and restyling
Prosthetics application
Hand sewing
Attention to detail and highly organized
Past experience working with performers
Computer skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficient in English.
Desirable:
Associate degree or higher in theatre or fine arts
Certification in Special FX makeup
5 years sewing or fine arts background
3 years with theme park, theatre or cruise ship experience
