Job Description

• Check dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project ensuring fit for purpose.
• Prepare MTO for civil, structural & piping work during bidding and construction stage.
• Perform / develop fabrication drawing from the engineering drawing as required.
• Utilize knowledge of various engineering practices, mathematics, and other techniques to complete drawings.
• Draft detailed multi-view drawings and layouts from the 2D sketch and 3D model as per engineering standards.
• Preparing both rough sketches and detailed working drawings with CAD systems.
• Co-ordination with Consultants and Contractors.
• Preparation of detail engineering drawings of industrial structures and Skids.
• Creating GA and shop drawings, fabrication drawings, fitting drawings and isometric views.
• 3D Modelling for Heavy Industrial Structures, Pre-Engineering Buildings and Steel Structures using Tekla X-steel, Autocad & Bocad
• Responsible for setting up and maintaining an organized file system for construction drawings.
• Prepare and estimate the detailed BOQ from fabrication drawing.
• Assist Proposal and Estimator engineer in estimating BOQs.
• Excellent knowledge of understanding the material specifications and steel grading system.
• Correspondence for clarification of technical requirement and specification.
• Receive tender drawings, specs, BOQ and produce sufficient data (Quantity take off) based on study of tender documents
• Know and understand ASTRA QHSE Policy and comply with all safety rules and company policies meeting all requirements of the IMS Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Work assignments are carried out to the highest quality level.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the Company.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience.
• Civil estimation in oil/gas field experience is a must
• Fluent English, Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Attention to detail, construction management skills
• Team-oriented skills
• Predict Accurate Cost Calculation
• Proactive initiative to reduce cost
• Provide adequate Value Engineering proposals.
• Capacity to predict unforeseen Risks at Tender stage.
• Maintain good relationship with Sub-contractors and Suppliers.
• Self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
