Summary of the role: As a Promotions Manager specialising in fund distribution and the investment management sector, your responsibilities will include developing and executing promotional strategies suitable for the local market that enhance client's brand visibility;, supporting fund sales to allocators, attracting new clients, and; supporting the distribution of investment funds..
This role requires a blend of marketing expertise, financial acumen, and strong communication skills. This role involves working closely with both our clients' and Waystone's sales, marketing, compliance and investment teams to align promotional activities with overall business goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and implement promotional campaigns, in conjunction with clients, to enhance the visibility of investment products and services and to promote fund offerings, ensuring alignment with target audience needs and preferences.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify differentiation and market growth opportunities.
• Ensure clients' promotional materials are fully compliant with local regulation and effectively support fund distribution efforts, including brochures, presentations, and online content.
• Align promotional activities with the overall fund objectives and regulatory environment to ensure all communications and promotions are legally compliant.
• Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and online advertising.
• Work closely with the client's product expert team to develop targeted promotions for specific client segments.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to highlight key fund performance metrics in promotional content.
• Support clients in organisng and managing promotional events, webinars, and conferences to attract new investors.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of promotional campaigns, making data-driven recommendations for future activities.
• Build relationships with financial advisors, institutional investors, and other distribution partners to enhance fund visibility and sales.
• Conduct presentations and meetings, in conjunction with clients, to communicate investment strategies, performance results, and market insights.
• Ensure all promotional activities and interactions with potential investors adhere to relevant financial regulations and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting fund distribution and promotion.
• Work closely with the Securities and Commodities Authority ("SCA") and other regulatory bodies to ensure all promotional activities meet the necessary compliance requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison between the marketing department and regulatory authorities to ensure that all promotional content is accurate and approved.
REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Risk Management Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification.
Experience:
• 3 years experience in financial analysis, fund distribution, investment management, or a related area.
• Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights to inform promotional strategies.
• Sound experience in digital marketing, content creation, and media relations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial software.
• Hands-on experience using digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
SCA Qualifications Requirements (CISI)
The qualifications below must be obtained to be approved by the SCA as the Promotions Manager. The governing body that oversees the professional qualifications is the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).
