General Description:
Ensure that documentation to COMPANY, CONTRACTOR’s all teams, Subcontractors, Suppliers and Vendors, other third parties and etc.
The Industrial Hygiene Coordinator is responsible to Develop, plan and implement the Industrial Hygiene Program (IHP), which aims to protect employees, contractors and visitors from unacceptable exposure to occupational health risks.
Applies a high level of specialist knowledge in anticipating and identifying all possible occupational hazards and measuring limits of exposures to determine the ways of workers protections.
Hazards may be physical such as (Noise & Heat), Chemical or Biological and treated in accordance with established Project policies, Government laws and specialized technical standards
Ability to provide professional consultation and problem solving on complex Industrial Hygiene issues
Responsibilities:
Determines the Industrial Hygiene Program (IHP) and Annual Action Plan, ensuring compliance with relevant industrial hygiene standards
Lead SHES meetings with the various departments to present information on their activities and findings related to the Industrial Hygiene Program
Coordinates qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments to identify workplace health hazards and produce reports with recommendations for achieving hazard reduction and compliance with relevant industrial hygiene standards
Analyses workplace health issues, raised by departments and proposes recommendations for consideration to minimize health risks
Works with Medical Team to ensure solutions for health issues include medical monitoring where appropriate
Reviews workplace health issues, raised by departments and proposes recommendations for consideration to minimize health risks
Implement various control measures (engineering, work practices and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, to reduce exposure risk
Performs presentations of applicable workplace health protection training including hazard communications, hearing conservation, respiratory protection and others
Reviews jobs requiring periodic medical surveillance due to the potential for excessive exposure to chemical and/or physical agents and advises the Medical Manager accordingly
Maintains calibrated industrial hygiene equipment necessary to support the IHP and assist in the annual system audits
Develops and implements IH training material and programs and undertakes competency assessment for National Development Program and Safety teams
Minimum Skills/Knowledge:
Good understanding of Gas Plant
Good written and spoken English language skills
Education/Experience:
10 years experience
Int. SHES related NVQ level 5; or Postgraduate Diploma; or Postgraduate Degree
Addition Desirable Skills and Experienced:
Arabic language skills
Korean language skills
Middle East working experience
Previous or equivalent experience as a Document Control Work
