:Project Pursuit Manager-Competitive Displacement MEASystems & Solutions, a business unit of Emerson, is currently looking for a Project Pursuit Manager- Competitive Displacement in the Middle East and Africa to lead identified Pursuits.We operate in a highly competitive environment and the ability to meet our customers\' expectations, lead pursuits efficiently, and craft profitable deals is essential to our success as an organization. The role of the Project Pursuit Manager plays a pivotal role in pursuing and winning strategic & mega projects for customers based in MEA and will report to Project Pursuit Director - MEAIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Work ambitiously on FEED and pre-FEED projects to get SYSS portfolio specified in the scope.
Establish a deep understanding of customers\' business drivers and project scope by crafting value to customers for our solution footprint.
Ensure full compliance to Emerson Values, Ethics and Trade Compliance Policies.
Take end-to-end ownership of the technical bid on assigned pursuits & Take lead in commercial negotiations including legal terms and conditions.
Engage early on assigned strategic projects to get PSS incl. RAS & Reliability Solutions specified in the scope.
Identify, map and build strong relations with the key stake holders on assigned pursuits.
Establish a clear understanding of business drivers and project scope.
Develop and implement compelling strategies to position Emerson as a preferred supplier.
Collaborate and support Global Strategic Project pursuits and lead XBU pursuits, wherever needed & & support other World Areas on Destination projects.
Provide a detailed project pricing analysis and participate in DOA calls with senior management.
Maintain an accurate project funnel and provide periodic Project Pursuit Reviews to the management.
Stay ahead of the developments in the competitive landscape and provide timely competitive analysis.
Fulfil any other reasonable duties as required for the Business.
Leverage the One Emerson by coordinating across multiple Emerson business units to solve. customer challenges and enhance value and loyalty through the introduction of Emerson Corporate programs.
Establish a deep understanding of customers\' business needs by adding new value to customers.
Contribute to the customer's business and maintain a goal-oriented approach to the business partnership. Demonstrate to customers how they benefit by partnering with Emerson and how our solutions deliver results.
Having a knowledgeable of Control System, IPS system, SCADA/RTU, Vibration Monitoring solutions & application, basic solutions & application presentation, Capabilities for crafting vision solution selling effectively at high levels in customer organization. Build & run regional funnel effectively.
Understanding regional competitor and competitor's product and application, responsibility of collecting market trends and specific customer requirement and feedback to product marketing team timely. Provide input regarding the marketplace and product competitiveness!
Who you are:
Lead or be part of Large Mega Projects, Upgrade programs, large program, or Account Management
Understand the process of costing and Tendering for Large projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with 12 - 15 years of successful track record in Process Automation Sales!
Strategic Approach with Strong Collaboration Skills
Demonstrated ability to target and convert accounts using a combination of technical and business value propositions.
Provide evidence of high-reaching sales results
International project pursuit experience with the validated result!
Extensive international travel will be required for this position. Traveling on short notice must be acceptable. Unforeseen extended travel must be acceptable
For this Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree or above in Automation or Instrumentation or equivalent experience.
Background of similar products experience or segment experience would be an advantage.
Excellent technical knowledge and Confirmed Experience of selling Automation and control System in Energy Sector (DCS, ESD, SCADA, RTU, VMS, ISW). Strong understanding of Emerson and SYSS product portfolios.
Previous project/proposal working experience of Key IOC and NOC
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Experience Knowledge of Process Automation Control system & and Safety Instrumentation systems and, Asset Management System.
IIOT, Cybersecurity applicability in Energy Sector.
End User Experience or competitive experience in Energy industry.
