Job Brief





One of our esteemed client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Planning & Coordination Engineer to join the team.





In this role, you will oversee and manage multiple real estate development projects, ensuring excellence in commercial management, contract negotiation, budgeting, scheduling, and project controls. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely and cost-efficient project delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.







Responsibilities


• Act as the custodian of the committee for vendor selection.
• Assess and mitigate commercial and project risks effectively.
• Manage project KPIs, ensuring alignment with goals.
• Enforce budgeting, financial control, and reporting policies.
• Prepare project budgets and submit them to the budget committee/board for approval.
• Set clear expectations for Project Management Consultants (PMCs) regarding timelines and quality.
• Develop cost execution plans, monthly billing, and cash forecast models to manage costs within budgets.
• Lead vendor assessments, negotiations, and finalization for various construction requirements.
• Plan, monitor, and report project progress to the management and committee.
• Administer value engineering initiatives to optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Identify and obtain necessary construction permits through the liaison resource.
• Conduct quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform revenue and expense analysis to ensure financial stability and efficiency.






Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.Tech) with a postgraduate degree in Finance or Project Management.
• 8+ to 10 years of experience, with 3-4 years in the UAE market.
• Proven expertise in creating and managing detailed construction schedules.
• Proficiency in resource allocation and management, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of contract management and quality control processes.
• Experience in developing and managing construction budgets, forecasting costs, and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Exceptional leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, health, and safety standards.
