Planning
- Collect the detailed project scope, specifications, submittals log & approved documents from Quality & Excellence Department
- Collect approved designs and approved shop drawings from Design Department
- Coordinate and collect all applicable NOCs from Authorities Coordinator in the Design Department during initial phase of the project
- Prepare project organization chart and workforce plan in coordination with Quality & Excellence Department as per project scope
- Ensure necessary method statements, quality and safety documentation are developed and approved before start of work in coordination with Quality & Excellence and HSE Departments
- Ensure all shop drawings are produced and submitted for approval on time
- Prepare the project build-up schedule along with project phase preplanning
- Ensure site activities are all coordinated to meet site program requirements and the construction activities are as per the program
- Ensure all activities are carried out according to the set policies, execution, models, procedures, etc.
- Manage the delivery of the project to meet time, cost, quality, safety and sustainability targets, ensuring risk is managed and targets are met
- Follow up on each project stage and meet completion deadlines
- Ensure technical drawing evaluation and estimations of each project phase
- Manage project elements and analyze completion diagrams and schedules
- Delegate the flow of tasks between internal operations and subcontractors/suppliers
- Ensure that all non-conformities are closed on time
- Ensure timely execution of all pile and material tests as per project plan
- Conduct joint inspection and close all snags upon project completion
- Ensure timely request and receipt of Taking Over Certificate
Resource Allocation
- Assign project workforce budgets and completion period
- Ensure a proper mobilization of workforce, materials and subcontractors for each stage of the project
- Ensure that the detailed plans developed correspond with the overall project plan to ensure appropriate procurement and scheduling of material/resources/supply chain
Staff Management
- Ensure policies and procedures are always followed by project team
- Monitor on-site processes during build-up and ensure they are running as per the build-up schedule
- Follow up all ongoing site works and ensure that staff is meeting required standards
- Ensure that all staff are regularly and accurately entering their timesheets including overtime
Budget Management
- Gather details and compile data to estimate/manage all construction costs according to specifications
- Prepare a check list for all project categories and ensure their availability, quality and cost-effectiveness
- Review and certify suppliers and subcontractors' invoices within agreed time frame to maintain regular payment, ensuring the company's reputation against suppliers and subcontractors.
Client/Consultant Management
- Ensure the proactive management of client and consultant relationships during project delivery to ensure expectations are achieved, including, changes to deliverables
- Manage client relationships from initial test piles through to delivery of the project
- Manage external design consultants, drawings and extensions
- Attend and lead weekly project meeting and updates
- Follow up pending approvals with consultant, including acceptance of insurance and bonds
- Generate draft of interim applications and confirm the quantities with the client/representative in order to avoid any delay of payment.
Reporting
- Prepare daily progress reports for Management and client/consultant
- Other related duties assigned by the Management
