Position: Project Manager /Construction Manager for Chemical Plant Setup

Location: RAK - UAE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Project Manager / Construction Manager with a proven track record in planning, designing, and setting up chemical plants from scratch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution and delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

Project Planning and Initiation:

Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resources.

Conduct feasibility studies, and risk assessments.

Design and Engineering:

Lead the design phase, coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants.

Ensure designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.

Review and approve engineering plans, specifications, and technical drawings.

Procurement and Contracts:

Develop procurement strategies and oversee the selection of contractors and suppliers.

Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.

Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.

Construction Management:

Oversee all construction activities, from site preparation to final installation.

Manage contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.

Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections.

Budget and Financial Management:

Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates and financial forecasting.

Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures.

Ensure projects are completed within budget.

Scheduling and Coordination:

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines.

Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Resolve any scheduling conflicts or delays promptly.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Promote a culture of safety on the construction site.

Communication and Reporting:

Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Facilitate effective communication between project teams and external parties.

Conduct project review meetings and present progress reports.

Commissioning and Handover:

Oversee the commissioning process, including testing and validation of equipment.

Ensure a smooth transition from construction to operational phase.

Address any post-construction issues and ensure project closeout.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and construction management.

Proven experience in planning, designing, and setting up chemical plants or similar large-scale industrial facilities from scratch.

Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects with multidisciplinary teams.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Proficiency in project management software.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
