Job Description

Job Purpose: Plan, manage and successfully deliver projects, in compliance with the project practices, standards and processes of the Company, or represent the Department in other large scale business projects within the Group. Ensure that projects meet the defined business requirements and achieve the stipulated business benefits within agreed timescales, cost and scope, leading the project throughout from initiation to closure.Job Outline
  • Ensure regular review of project delivery performance. Contribute to improvement of systems, procedures and standards to improve capabilities, assisting the senior management team in continual process, quality and productivity improvement.
  • Ensure on time, in scope and within budget delivery of all assigned projects. Initiate and manage projects through all stages to ensure that their progress, quality and the outputs in key result areas are consistent with the scope and targets envisaged in the project charter. Where it becomes necessary, take appropriate corrective actions in consultation with the department and support functions, concerned. A. Projects are scoped and initiated in collaboration with Internal Stakeholders and other support functions, agreeing project objectives, desired outcomes, milestones, roles and responsibilities, with the department heads which are encapsulated with appropriate service levels in agreed project charters.
B. Projects are planned professionally and are then reflected in the Project register/ Planning tool of the department. The plan must be realistic, maintained and properly resourced
C. Project stakeholders are managed properly for the duration of the project to achieve smooth implementation and quick realisation of benefits
D. Delivery is within the approved timeframe and within agreed cost , driving down costs wherever possible and targeting early delivery
E. Functional solutions meet agreed requirements and customer expectations, are maintainable and meet documented and agreed criteria.
F. IT system solutions are adequately planned, designed in line with corporate standards and tested, covering all risk aspects
G. Risks and issues are assessed and mitigation/ management strategies are designed and agreed with respective stakeholders prior to implementation.
H. Timely, appropriate and accurate project information and reporting are provided to the Project Sponsor and stakeholders and/or steering board members, as well as to other departments which may be affected by the project outcomes
I. An implementation and training concept is developed and organised as required by and agreed with the relevant Department or Business unit on a network wide basis.
J. Conflict or disagreements arising from issues or concerns connected with projects are managed appropriately to resolve issues and concerns and mitigate risks
K. Ongoing system support is designed and implemented with the project \'go live\' phase.

  • Lead and develop dynamic simulation and/or data model to derive insights, trends, and solutions to complex operational problems.
  • Support senior management to make strategic decisions on operational process changes, facility design changes, and commercial decisions by extracting information and transforming it into business solutions.
  • Conceptualize, develop, implement, maintain, and enhance a comprehensive oversight and governance process to ensure that warehouse capacity and capabilities align with the forecasting model and operational requirements.
  • Propose plans to adjust operational processes, MHS movement, and other contributing factors to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications & Experience: Flight Operations.Other : 5+ YearsQualifications
  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) :
  • Experience in Flight Operations & Others (Air cargo / Logistics)
  • Flight Operations avionics or technology Air cargo / Logistics
Knowledge/Skills
  • Expert Knowledge of airline industry standards, and core business functions and systems preferred.
  • Should be practical and innovative with the ability to manage cross-functional teams at a multinational level.
  • Knowledge of a variety of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Demonstratable exposure to: A. Project management, B. Change implementation planning and management, C. Systems Development Management, D. Project Management tools, E. Application support, F. Business analysis
  • Experience of 3-5 year in Air cargo terminal operations / Logistics Hub with sound knowledge and understanding of air cargo operations, logistics, and regulatory requirements specific to air cargo terminals.
  • Experience in leading mid to large size projects associated with the development of air cargo terminal / material handling system.
  • Experienced and skilled in assessing current handling capacities, forecasting future needs, and implementing strategies to optimize space and resource utilization in the air cargo terminal environment to achieve higher efficiency.
  • A recognized professional Project Management qualification. Preferably PMP certified.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, including airport authorities, regulatory bodies, consultants, contractors, and various internal teams.
