As a Project Manager and Lead Independent Safety Assessor (ISA), you will play a crucial role in leading assessment projects, applying your technical expertise and guiding others in the assessment process.Key Responsibilities:
Lead project assessments as an ISA on behalf of the Employer (E-ISA), using technical expertise to evaluate client evidence.
Manage complex projects, ensuring effective scope management, resource planning, change control, risk and financial control, and documentation management.
Identify and communicate project variations to the Client, Ricardo Operations Management, and Business Development Team.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure successful project progression.
Ensure accurate project Estimate at Completion and identify project risks.
Oversee resource competencies, including supplier management.
Support Project Engineers in risk management during project proposals and lifecycle.
Maintain client relationships through proactive communication and fulfillment of expectations.
Address customer and supplier issues, engaging subject-matter experts when needed.
Enhance project management processes within Ricardo, developing best practice tools and techniques.
Implement changes to administration processes to meet business demands and improve efficiency.
Provide line management for staff, ensuring their well-being and professional development.
Requirements:
Relevant university degree in railway safety roles, including independent safety assessments and managing large projects.
Experience in the Middle East and business/client services environment preferred.
Proven track record managing complex projects, including budget management and forecasting.
Strong organizational skills, flexible, and capable of handling multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
Proactive problem-solving and excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
Deep understanding of railway engineering disciplines and Engineering Safety Management (ESM) principles.
Experience as an ISA assessor and familiarity with Common Safety Method (CSM).
Ability to guide clients on ESM/CSM processes and requirements.
Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to seek out challenging work.
Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi, UAE.
