Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the EPC contract in a manner that achieves quality installation meeting performance parameters set out in the scope of work within the cost and schedule targets in the EPC contract.
• Review and prepare responses to bidder queries during the subcontracting phase.
• Control schedule and cost of assigned object(s).
• Manage cost trends emanating from design change.
• Ensure that all actions, works, and services undertaken by subcontractor, are by the EPC contract.
• Ensure compliance with the company's objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations, and guidelines provided by the Company from time to time.
• Ensure that cost-effective solutions in engineering design are adopted while maintaining quality, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
• Ensure that the project is technically sound and optimally designed, engineered to appropriate standards and specifications, meeting required product specifications, and meeting HSE requirements.
• Ensure that the subcontractor complies with all its obligations under the contract, including adherence to the specifications, schedule, and procedures.
• Take necessary corrective action to align the project back on track in case of deviations from plans (cost, schedule, quality, HSE, performance, operability, maintainability, etc.).
• Monitor subcontractor performance against its program, deliverables, and milestones in line with the progress measurement and reporting system set out in the EPC contract.
• Avoid variations from the contract by taking proactive/preventive actions.
• Coordinate responses to technical audits; HAZOP findings; spec deviations as reported by QA/QC functions; and construction site technical queries.
• Monitor the interactions with other packages, projects, and stakeholders. Review and approve the monthly progress and milestone completion certificates.
• Effectively manages the project team, customer, schedule, scope, and budget for projects by ensuring the attainment of the highest level of project/program/contractual procedures, communication, and cost control from inception through hand-over.
• Develops and monitors the budget and approval process.
• Reviews and assists in scope definition, estimating, and proposals for assigned regions.
• Leads cross-functional teams, internal and external to Engineering and Operations; resolving inter-functional issues; establishing and communicating project/program schedules, objectives priorities, and targets.
• Monitors the status of programs/projects; providing technical interpretation and expertise, as required; and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, government regulations, and customer specifications.
• Ensure maintenance of Documentation/Transmittal Library and interface with Customer on a project basis.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in (Chemical / Mechanical) Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
• Certified Project Management (PMP) certificate is desirable.
• Minimum 20 years experience in leading and managing multi-national teams.
• Design & Project Experience on large-scale oil/gas and petrochemical capital projects
• Must have previous project management experience on an EPC Project of at least 100 million USD.
• Has demonstrated strong engineering competence.
• Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
• Full fluency in English required.
• Proficiency in Arabic is required.
