Role Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing STP decommissioning projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations (189/190). This role will focus on delivering infrastructure projects from inception through completion, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale projects, particularly in the buildings and infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Management:
• Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Manage STP decommissioning projects from initiation to close, ensuring that all project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations.
• Compliance and Regulation Adherence:
• Ensure that all decommissioning activities comply with industry standards, specifically regulatory codes 189/190.
• Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure full compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Risk Management and Quality Assurance:
• Identify and assess project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
• Ensure all work adheres to quality and safety standards, performing regular audits and inspections.
• Team Leadership and Coordination:
• Lead and motivate project teams, assigning roles and responsibilities to ensure efficient project execution.
• Facilitate communication among multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative working environment.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, permits, and contracts.
• Prepare detailed project reports and performance metrics for upper management review.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project management within the buildings and infrastructure sector, specifically with STP decommissioning projects.
• Knowledge of codes 189/190 and other relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
