The Project Head will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and overseeing strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the automotive industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in scaling businesses and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the overall business strategy for the used car marketplace, aligning with the company's vision and growth targets. Lead and manage the executive team, setting clear objectives and ensuring collaboration across departments to meet company goals.
Oversee the development of the marketplace platform, including technology, user experience, and competitive positioning.
Business Development & Growth:
Identify and secure strategic partnerships with dealerships, financial institutions, and third-party service providers to enhance the marketplace's offerings. Create and execute a business expansion plan, targeting both local and international markets. Develop and manage new revenue streams, including advertising, dealer listings, and additional value-added services.
Operations Management:
Ensure efficient operations, including inventory management, logistics, and sales processes.
Monitor marketplace performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve customer experience and increase sales. Implement robust quality control and customer service standards across all areas of the business.
Financial Oversight:
Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) management. Manage cash flow, capital investments, and operational costs to ensure profitability.
Report regularly to the Board of Directors on financial performance and key business metrics.
Team Leadership & Development:
Build and lead a high-performing management team across marketing, sales, operations, and technology. Foster a positive, results-driven organizational culture and ensure effective talent acquisition and retention strategies.
Market & Industry Analysis:
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to inform strategic decisions. Lead initiatives to adapt the business to emerging market trends, such as electric vehicles, digital financing solutions, and changing consumer preferences.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure that the business adheres to all relevant legal, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience of leadership role within the automotive industry, preferably in the used car sector.
Strong understanding of digital marketplace platforms, including ecommerce, online sales, and technology-driven solutions.
Expertise in business development, strategic partnerships, and financial management.
