Job Description

Key responsibilities & duties

• Managing overall operations for executing fit out projects within cost & time norms; participating project review meetings for evaluating project progress.
• Weekly meetings with production coordinator & design dept to discuss the projects progress and hurdles.
• Attending site meetings to establish the scope of works.
• Verify, coordinate and participate (as needed) in site surveys before proceeding with production. To validate the project drawings.
• Inspecting sites to observe and evaluate condition and operability of facilities and structures.
• Preparing and monitoring project schedules.
• Organize work efficiently to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Monitor site progress and confirm adherence to designs and specifications.
• Involve in planning & procurement of materials.
• Checking that the materials received are in accordance with quantity and quality and as per specifications and drawings.
• Materials must be ordered in a timely manner based on the work planned. 4 days lead time is required to provide the materials requested.
• Careful consideration must be taken while ordering the materials as it must be as per the drawing and site requirements.
• Any discrepancies with all stakeholders, subcontractors and all parties must be reported as soon as possible.
• Daily follow ups for all the scopes with all stakeholders, subcontractors and all parties without depending upon the project coordinator.
• Ensure all the subcontractors are identified and locked at the initial stage of the project.
• Ensure good workmanship are carried out for all site works.
• Analyse project bottleneck and taking immediate action.
• Preparing and reviewing method statements and risk assessment (MSRA).
• Able to effectively manage and supervise a team of workers.
• Manage manpower as per project requirements.
• Ensure appropriate manpower is present internally and from subcontractors to accomplish daily work progress on site.
• Daily manpower planning update to ensure what work is going to be accomplished during the day to be sent on the project WhatsApp group to be received 30 minutes before starting of the site.
• Plan and communicate in advance on daily & weekly manpower requirements.
• Assess risk and control manpower as per UAE safety regulations.
• Ensuring presence on site during site operational hours.
• Daily progress report updates to be shared on the project WhatsApp group after the site closure for the respective day, ideally within 1 hour of site closure.
• Update should contain the comparison of works planned for the respective day with priorities.
• Preparing record drawings, technical reports, site diary.
• Coordinate and plan authority inspections and approvals.
• Read all the project drawings/ Bill of Quantities to familiarize with the project.
• Study all the finishes to familiarise oneself with the project finishes.

Academic & trades qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/architecture/engineering/ interior design or similar field.
• Experience in turnkey interior fit-out, retail, commercial, residential projects.
• Proficient in analyzing technical drawings.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Must have a valid UAE driving license.
• Required skill (s): project management, interior design, planning, coordination and supervising.
