Key Responsibilities

Estimating the bill of quantities using design drawings and specifications from the client

Preparation of Material Submittal

Review and study all the shop drawings prior to submitting them to the client for approval and proposing new designs if necessary.

Review and study all the shop drawings for variation claims based on the changes from the initial drawing.

Create a project schedule for all kinds of fabrication and erection-related activities based on the client baseline programs provided.

Assist project managers on technical and contractual issues.

Prepare all documents and reports related to project execution, and make sure that the project is running as per the planned schedule.

Following up on the mobilization of the project materials, consumables, and equipment listed in the mobilization plan. Ensure the mobilization of miscellaneous items. Further liaison and coordination with concerned departments to arrange the material at site.

Prepare shop drawings and design drawings using AutoCAD software.

Ensure that shop drawings meet all the requirements of statutory authority prior to getting approval and subsequent fabrication activities.

Provide technical direction to workers based on the design drawings and deploy them to finish the task according to the needs.

Prepare various correspondences related to the project.

Observe and record the job progress and keep constant track of the consumption of materials, and report problematic areas.

Prepare monthly progress report and get the approval from client to issue payment application for issuing monthly progress invoice.

Conduct meetings with clients and resolve the technical and commercial issues. Identify the variations in the work based on the project scope and accordingly make the necessary arrangements to claim the variation in the scope of work.

Preparation of Variations to Contracts and Change Order Management

Follow and participate in the implementation of company quality, HSE, and ISM safety management.

Preparation of claims such as time extensions, delays and disruptions, acceleration of work, etc.

Follow up with vendors to make sure that materials are available as per the procurement schedule.

Review and Follow up with Subcontractors scope of work and make sure that progress is made as per the planned schedule.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.

Metal Fabrication and Interior Fit-out/Joinery Experience is must

Experience: 4 to 5 years

High proficiency in AutoCAD

UAE Driving License - Preferred
