Job Title: Project Engineer - LV Switchgear

Location: Abudhabi - UAE

Department: Engineering/Project Management

Reports To: Project Manager

Job Overview:

The Project Engineer for LV Switchgear is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects related to the design, procurement, production, and delivery of low voltage switchgear panels. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, production, and quality assurance, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Planning and Coordination:

- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, from LOI stage to completion.

- Develop project schedules, milestones in cordination with the Project Manager.

- Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to ensure project alignment and adherence to timelines.

- Technical Expertise:

- Provide technical guidance and support in the design and development of LV switchgear panels.

- Ensure compliance with market standards and ADDC regulations.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.

- Prepare and present project updates and reports, ensuring transparency and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

- Oversee the testing and commissioning of LV switchgear panels, ensuring they meet quality standards.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management and engineering.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

- Experience in project management and engineering within the electrical switchgear industry.

- Strong understanding of low voltage systems & IEC standards.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with ABB/Eaton/L&T components and related equipment.

Working Conditions:

- Primarily office-based with occasional site visits and inspections.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years in LV switchgear project management.
