:Black & Grey HR is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading corrugrated packaging manufacturer in the UAE. Our client is looking for a Project Engineer - Mechanical who will be responsible for overseeing the setup the corrugated board and packaging production facility. This includes managing factory erection, new machinery installation, relocating existing machinery, and commissioning the factory to be future-ready for additional automation. The Project Manager will be accountable for ensuring project milestones are met within schedule and budget, while delivering a high-quality, future-ready facility.Key Responsibilities:- Manage all mechanical operations and oversee day-to-day activities.- Coordinate the factory design, ensuring the layout aligns with the production process, infrastructure needs, and machine foundations.- Plan and supervise the installation of production equipment and necessary infrastructure.- Coordinate the relocation of production equipment to the new facility, ensuring minimal disruption.- Manage inquiries for additional equipment, assist in procurement, and oversee startup.- Define mechanical specifications for processing areas. Review erection and installation drawings and specifications for accuracy.- Prepare and circulate erection and installation inquiries, finalize tenders, and award contracts for mechanical works.- Act as the main point of contact for organizing project-related infrastructure.- Organize and document construction follow-up meetings.- Monitor project progress, checking for quality, quantity, and adherence to specifications.- Verify invoices for accuracy before processing.- Arrange temporary and final storage for technical equipment and spare parts.- Plan preventive maintenance, collaborating with process heads to minimize mechanical downtime.- Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies and procedures.- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards across project functions.- Perform any other duties as assigned.Requirements- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering; PMP certification preferred.- Minimum 10 years in the corrugated or paper converting industry with project management and execution experience.- Proficiency in MS Project is advantageous.- Strong knowledge in corrugators (preferably BHS), converting machines, printing techniques, and various production-related systems (e.g., die-cutting, automatic pallet strapping, steam boilers).- Strong leadership and hands-on management style.- Excellent planning and organizational skills.- Ability to identify and implement long-term solutions for process improvements.- Fluency in English.Benefits- Attractive Salary + BenefitsCandidates from around the world are encouraged to apply.
