Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Engineer to join our team in the Interior Fitout Industry . The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing the technical aspects of fitout projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that designs are translated into successful construction, installation, and finishing phases. The role requires close coordination with internal teams, clients, contractors, and vendors, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Planning & Coordination :
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to define project scope, goals, timelines, and budget.
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Ensure that all necessary permits, approvals, and documents are secured before project commencement.
• Technical Oversight & Implementation :
• Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate project execution.
• Provide technical support to the design and construction teams to resolve issues on-site.
• Coordinate the installation of interior fitout components such as partitions, ceilings, flooring, furniture, and MEP systems.
• Monitor the progress of construction activities, ensuring work is carried out according to quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Vendor & Contractor Management :
• Source, manage, and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts, review bids, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Ensure subcontractors and vendors adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Quality Control & Safety Compliance :
• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations and quality assurance procedures on-site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and design requirements.
• Identify potential issues or risks early and propose solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Budget Management :
• Assist in preparing and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring the project stays within financial limits.
• Review and approve invoices from contractors and suppliers in line with contract terms and work completed.
• Client Communication & Reporting :
• Act as the main technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Provide regular progress reports, updates, and status meetings to clients and internal teams.
• Address client concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
• Project Closeout :
• Ensure proper documentation and handover of the completed project to the client, including as-built drawings, warranties, and maintenance manuals.
• Perform post-project reviews to assess performance, resolve any outstanding issues, and identify lessons learned for future projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience : Minimum [X] years of experience in project engineering, with a strong background in interior fitout projects (office fitouts, retail, hospitality, or commercial spaces).
• Technical Skills :
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with CAD software and project management tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques used in interior fitouts.
• Soft Skills :
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Experience working with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, etc.).

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to work on-site, sometimes in challenging or variable environments.
• Ability to lift and carry materials or tools, as required.
• Comfort with occasional travel between job sites, client meetings, and offices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
