Job Summary

We are looking for an accountable Project Engineer to be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, developing, and overseeing Electrical & Mechanical projects. This role requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the Clients & Consultants to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
• Prepare detailed electrical engineering designs, specifications, and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Perform electrical load calculations & analysis.
• Manage Electrical construction projects, including procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
• Manage Mechanical projects, including procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status to the management.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with the Project Team and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Assign responsibilities and mentor the Project Team.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements and skills

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Proven working experience (minimum 5 years) in UAE as a Project Engineer in a Medium / Small Contracting Company.
• In-depth knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical engineering principles, practices, and rules & regulations in the UAE.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
• Project management and supervision skills
• Decision-making ability and leadership skills
• Time management and organization skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• UAE: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• driving license (Preferred)
