Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer with a civil engineering background to join our team. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, designers, and construction teams to ensure the successful execution of civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing various aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of civil engineering projects from concept to completion. Monitor progress and manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.

Design & Technical Support:

Provide technical support in the design, development, and review of engineering plans and specifications. Ensure that designs comply with all regulations, codes, and project requirements.

Construction Oversight:

Supervise and coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality control processes.

Quality Control:

Conduct site inspections, monitor construction activities, and ensure quality control is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the construction phase.

Budget & Cost Management:

Assist in managing project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure that projects remain within financial constraints. Help prepare cost estimates and track material and labor costs.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Submit necessary paperwork and documentation for permits and approvals.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Maintain regular communication with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Provide progress updates and address any concerns or questions.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project timelines or budgets and take proactive measures to mitigate these risks.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, designers, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth project execution and problem resolution.

Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and meeting minutes. Ensure proper documentation for compliance and future reference.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role within the civil engineering or construction industry. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques. Experience with project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating resources. Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MS Project). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant construction codes, standards, and regulations. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
