Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Project Engineer specialized in high-rise buildings to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering aspects of high-rise construction projects. You will work closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the civil engineering aspects of high-rise building projects, including site evaluation, preliminary designs, and final execution.
• Collaborate with the project manager, architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure smooth coordination across all phases of the project.
• Develop project schedules and ensure that the project is progressing according to the timeline.
• Prepare, review, and approve construction plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure alignment with the project's scope and client requirements.
• Participate in the selection and procurement of construction materials and methods suitable for high-rise construction.
• Oversee and evaluate design calculations, construction drawings, and detailed plans to ensure they meet industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory codes.
• Ensure that the design of civil engineering systems (foundation, drainage, roads, utilities, etc.) aligns with the requirements for a high-rise building.
• Analyze soil tests and topographical surveys, and recommend appropriate foundation designs for high-rise buildings, such as pile foundations or raft slabs.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team during the design and execution phases.
• Ensure the integration of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the design of the building.
• Manage day-to-day activities at the construction site, ensuring that the project progresses according to schedule.
• Supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers involved in the civil engineering works, ensuring that all work complies with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality control. Report on progress, delays, or potential risks to the project manager.
• Ensure that all civil works, including excavation, foundation work, formwork, reinforcement, and concrete pouring, meet required standards.
• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.
• Assist in estimating project costs and managing budgets for civil engineering aspects of high-rise building projects.
• Monitor and control project expenditures, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Evaluate and approve contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the agreed-upon terms and scope.
• Prepare cost forecasts and identify potential cost overruns, suggesting corrective measures.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience with main contractors on high-rise building projects in the UAE.
