Job Description

Waagner Biro is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The Project Engineer will play a key role in overseeing and managing site construction and repair activities for bridges and underpasses, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement project progress charts in alignment with company policies.
• Develop engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for construction programs.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and material recommendations for projects.
• Oversee site activities, monitor progress, and identify potential delays.
• Review and approve shop drawings and method statements before commencing activities.
• Ensure work complies with approved specifications, drawings, and HSE requirements.
• Manage and guide site engineers, subcontractors, and surveyors.
• Coordinate with departments to meet local authority requirements.
• Conduct inspections, prepare daily reports, and submit them to the Engineer.
• Manage resources and tools to ensure availability and operational readiness.
• Identify cost variations, control subcontractor work, and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure the proper use and testing of engineering materials.
• Supervise third-party contractors, ensuring deliverables meet project standards.
• Provide technical suggestions for improved efficiency and implement approved project modifications.
• Participate in daily project meetings and toolbox talks with stakeholders.
• Assist with mobilization/demobilization of equipment and prepare installation manuals.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in construction projects involving bridges and underpasses.
• Strong knowledge of engineering materials, construction methodologies, and project management systems.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and local authority requirements.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical documentation.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
